Very sadly Australia has lost one a legend of Australia’s golden era of night time variety television - Don Lane has died at the age of 75. Along with Bert Newton Don created many moments of television history and just sheer bloody great entertainment. Night time television has never been the same since his show went off the air back in 1983 – countless Australian’s will remember sitting down on Thursday nights to watch his show and the stream of international artists who appeared.
